FieldWorks Data Notebook

The FieldWorks Data Notebook was developed primarily as a data management tool for language and cultural fieldwork. It can be used for other data collection tasks, as well.
As a field-notes tool, it helps language workers document, categorize, retrieve, analyze, and summarize conclusions about their field notes. It helps them gain insights from anthropological field notes so they can better
- live and work appropriately in a different cultural community,
- help with literacy and educational development as language attitudes, social patterns, and annual cycles of community are documented, and
- help with translation as cultural concepts and terminology are documented.

Training Materials
Learn independently or in a classroom setting. FieldWorks Data Notebook comes with an Instructor's Manual, a Student Manual, and training exercises. The training materials use sample data and demonstrate proven fieldwork methodologies.
