Reporting problems
Information to include in a problem report
- Version of the Shoebox program (e.g., Release Version 5.0 for 32-bit Windows)
- Versions of other closely-related software (e.g., Microsoft Word 97, Tavultesoft Keyboard Manager 3.2)
- Version of your computer's system software (e.g., Windows 98)
- Amount of memory (e.g., 64 MB RAM)
- Amount of free hard disk space (e.g., 157 MB)
- Description of what you were attempting to do when the problem occurred. Be sure to include any additional information that is provided by Shoebox (e.g., Line 504 in ind.cpp) or Microsoft Windows (e.g., if Windows displays a message that Shw32 has performed an illegal operation, click Details, copy the information to a temporary file, and then paste it in the problem report that you send).
