The Linguist's Shoebox

To compare the current record in the active window to a related record in the same database:

• Choose Duplicate from the Window menu and search or browse in the new window.
• Or if your database is set up for jumping to cross-references, you might right-click the appropriate data item in the current record. Shoebox will display the cross-referenced record in a new window (unless you had already selected an existing window as a jump target).

You can concentrate your attention on just those two records:

1. Minimize any other windows that are open in Shoebox.
2. Choose Tile Side by Side from the Window menu.

Note: You can also display the same record in different windows—even if you edit it, Shoebox does not get confused.
