How to lay out printed materials using typewritten text

Steps
Follow these steps to lay out printed materials using typewritten text:

  1. Decide what margins you need.
  2. Type the text.
    Tips:
    • Remember to keep the text within the margin limits you have decided on.
    • Do not consider page length at this point.
  3. Decide where to place page numbers and lesson numbers if you need them.
  4. Decide where you will put illustrations within the text.
  5. Prepare a layout guide .
  6. Place the layout guide under a blank piece of paper.
  7. Cut the text into pieces that will fit within the margins, leaving room for the illustrations.
  8. Line up the text pieces carefully and glue them onto the blank paper.
  9. Glue the illustrations and numbers in the appropriate places.
