Working with a print shop

 

Things to do
  Here are the things to do when you work with a print shop:
 
  • Look at examples of other work done by the print shop to be sure that the quality they produce is adequate.
  • Determine the following information about the job you are submitting:
    • Number of copies to print
    • Finished size of book

      Note:

      Remember that the pages must be trimmed, making the book slightly smaller than the paper used for printing.

    • Color and kind of paper for the pages
    • Color and kind of paper for cover
    • Type of binding
  • Provide the following:
  • Do not expect to make changes in content after submitting the job to the printer.
  • Check with the printer at each step of the printing process, if possible. Do not assume that all will go as planned!
