Funding a literacy program

Introduction
 

If a literacy program is small, costs for the program may be negligible or may be absorbed by individuals associated with the program.

 

Once a program involves more than a few people or classes, however, you must anticipate significant program costs and find a way to cover them.

Prerequisites
 

Here are the prerequisites for funding a literacy program:

 
  • Design your literacy program as completely as possible. In most cases this takes place in several cycles. The process of making a budget for funding purposes will suggest additions and revisions to your initial program plan.
