    To express interactions between members of the culture accurately.

  • To express your intentions or feelings in writing so they will be understood by your readers
  • To respond to the intentions or feelings of others as spoken or written to you
Strategies
 

Here are some interactional skills strategies for Stage 3 guidelines for writing:

 
  • Analysis

    Find examples of interaction in your Text Portfolio file, and study them to find rules of etiquette and other clues concerning acceptable ways of interaction.

  • Ask for correction

    Apply the principles you discovered to your writing. You may need to work through several drafts of a written document before you feel it is ready. It might be good to have it checked by a language associate (LA) or other local friend for comments and suggestions.

  • Monitoring

    Pay attention to your grammatical constructions and vocabulary choices.
