How to print on paper with a silk-screen printer

 

Introduction
 

Using a silk-screen printer is a good way to print small numbers of paper copies, especially where willing hands are more available than electrical power.

 
Materials
 

Here is a list of the materials needed to print on paper with a silk-screen printer:

 
  • Ink

  • Stencils
  • Paper

    Tips:
    • You can use any paper, but a porous paper absorbs the ink and dries quickly.
    • Heavy paper can be printed on both sides.
  • Masking tape

  • Cleaning materials

Steps
  Follow these steps to print on paper with a silk-screen printer:
 
  1. Select the proper ink for the job.
  2. Prepare to print.
  3. Print trial copies.
  4. Print multiple copies.
  5. Dry the copies.
  6. Clean the printer.
