Is a practical guide to motivation for teachers and is simple and easy to follow. Gives good ideas and insights. Is easy to read.

Evaluator assumes that students were not literate before the classes were taught. Seemed to know how to use chalkboard and chalk--concept of writing. Key is looking, listening, thinking, reading, and writing--active learning. Presents information step by step. Is easy to follow to apply to field situation; a useful and tried method. Application seems to be limited to those who have used skills necessary for writing and who know about writing.
