What is desktop publishing ?

Desktop publishing is the process of using a computer system and printer to perform many of the functions of a print shop. DTP includes page layout and design, the choice of font and type size, and the inclusion of graphics and pictures.

There are many software programs available for desktop publishing. Here are some common programs:

• Microsoft Publisher®
