Description
 

With a rubbed idiophone, the sound is produced by rubbing a friction instrument with moistened finger (musical glasses), a moistened cloth (cuica), a stick, or a bow (musical saw). Also, a rubbed idiophone may involve rubbing similar objects together such as sticks or stones.
