    Analysis Determine what types of constructions are most difficult for you to speak with clarity and in normal rate of speech. Practice Work with a language associate (LA) on dialogue or monologues that contain such difficulties. Work until you feel ease--not perfection. Do not hold back--you must talk. Selective attention Focus on one problem at a time. Remember there will be a variable: some days you will do great; some days you will make more mistakes than normal. Comparison Record yourself and then let a mother-tongue speaker evaluate your recording.
