Strategies

  • Ask for correction

    Ask a language associate (LA) or other local friend check your work for errors, even after your own checking process.

  • Practice

    Dictation and transcription of texts are good ways to get practice in writing. Transcription allows you to see the flow of text, and to hear what phonological things are happening to speech chunks.

  • Selective attention

    Work specifically on the areas (of the objectives listing) in which you have less established control.
