How to make game cards

 

Introduction
 

Many games are played with cards. You can buy suitable cards for some games, but you will sometimes need to make them.

 

Here are some games that require cards:

 
Guidelines
 

Here are some guidelines to follow when you make game cards:

 
  • Use symbols and pictures that are suitable for the ages, literacy level, and culture of the players.
  • Follow the instructions for specific games to find out what kind or what size cards they require.
  • Make cards from

    • heavy paper
    • card stock
    • cardboard
    • thin wood, or
    • tree bark.
  • Print or draw on the cards neatly.
  • Be sure the ink does not show through to the other side of the cards if they are to be used face down in a game.
  • Laminate the cards if possible.
