Lander, Jim, and Dorothea Lander. 1991. "'Cut and paste' literacy." Notes on Literacy. Interest level: lay specialist.

Literacy projects are full of challenges. One challenge faced in the Borana Literacy Project was how to help sister agencies meet their goals for existing literacy projects. To do this, authors "cut out" portions of a packaged literacy program, then pasted them into existing programs. Mix produced fledgling mother tongue authors, as well as reading materials to use in literacy classes.
