Summary
	In 1982, the International Seminar on Campaigning for Literacy was held at Udaipur, India. Attending the seminar were 65 literacy planners, policy makers, and workers from 17 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
	Focus of the seminar was discussing the 1982 UNESCO Campaigning for Literacy study. In addition, participants presented case studies of mass literacy campaigns in their own countries. These presentations, speeches, discussions, and proposals arising from the conference form the basis for book.
