A title page is part of the front matter of a book that displays the title prominently along with the name of the author and other information about the book. It is normally the first printed page of the book.

Features
 

Here are some features of a title page:

 
  • The title page is always on a right-hand page.
  • A title page has the title of the book in the local language and, if needed, in another language of the region.
  • It may also have the

    • date published
    • name of the language
    • names of indigenous authors, editors, illustrators and collaborators
    • number of copies printed, or
    • place printed.
