Summary

This book provides information and ideas that can be used to plan literacy programs. Although it was written for literacy workers in large programs in Papua New Guinea, the information is helpful for those planning smaller programs in other parts of the world as well. It describes seven strategies used to implement literacy programs with rationale for each strategy, step-by step suggestions for action, and sample forms and workpapers. It is a valuable resource for anyone involved in planning a community-based literacy program.
