The side-bound book

A side-bound book is a series of pages bound together on one side.

Here is a positive feature of a side-bound book:

• It is easy to design, paginate, and collate.

Here are some negative features of a side-bound book:

• It does not lay open very well.
• It may lose front and back pages if it is not protected by a sturdy book cover.

• A thick book may require long staples if you choose to bind it by stapling.
