From endangered to less endangered: case histories from Brazil and Papua New Guinea

This article examines various factors in the revitalization of several endangered languages of Brazil and Papua New Guinea in which the people were in imminent danger of dying out as a group. Among these factors were access to consistent medical care and a heightened self-respect.
