Description:
A brief study of the culture and grammar of the sáliba language and people with the objectives: to appreciate the language, to preserve a small part of its cultural and linguistic wealth in written form and to make this information available to a world that must worry about the possible loss of a language and cultural identity. On the other hand, we always hope that the present is a reason for the Sáliba community and the people around it to value their language, preserve it and teach it to a new generation of children.
The title of this work, The most important thing is to live in peace, comes from the text “What is the most important in the life of a sáliba, by Avenicio Chamarraví. (See page 114.) The author gives us a vision of the values of his people and above all his sense of love towards his neighbor.
