For the last 10 years Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) has partnered with the Government of Kenya in implementing Mother Tongue Education (MTE) in schools among the Sabaot community. This standard 3 CRE pupil’s book in Sabaot was developed by teachers, education officials from the Sabaot programme area and BTL staff and Consultants. Earlier, before the production of the books in this series, BTL worked with the community to develop a functionally and acceptable orthography (writing system).
