Annapurna SIL

Version:
1.100
Released:
October, 2012

Annapurna SIL is a Unicode-based font family with support for the many diverse languages that use Devanagari script. The font has a calligraphic design that reflects the stroke contrast of writing the characters with a broad nib, and is intended to be highly readable, reasonably compact, and visually attractive.

Annapurna SIL uses Graphite and OpenType features to support variant glyphs for different languages. To make use of these features the font needs to be used with an application that uses the Graphite or the OpenType Stylistic Sets feature. For applications that do not use this feature, we provide a variant font download for Nepal.

Annapurna SIL is freely available and may be used by anyone at no cost. It is released under the SIL Open Font License, a free and open source license that permits modification and redistribution.
