Dai Banna SIL is a Unicode font package for rendering the New Tai Lue (Xishuangbanna Dai) script. It includes a complete set of New Tai Lue consonants, vowels, tones, and digits, along with punctuation and other useful symbols. A basic set of Latin glyphs, including Arabic numerals, is also provided. Two font families are provided in the package, differing only in weight. The Dai Banna SIL fonts are designed to work on operating systems that provide support for TrueType fonts and for Unicode character encoding. This includes Microsoft Windows® 98 or greater, Mac OS version 9.0 and later, and some implementations of Unix / Linux. To take full advantage of the smart font capabilities and display reordering correctly, the application must also support Graphite.Dai Banna SIL is freely available and may be used by anyone at no cost. It is released under the SIL Open Font License, a free and open source license that permits modification and redistribution.
