SynPhony makes literacy materials production easier.

Create word lists

SynPhony creates word lists. SynPhony ensures that the words listed only contain the letters that have already been taught and the letter selected for the current lesson. This gives the teacher material that is suited to the reading level for each lesson. Each successive word list increases the range of letters one at a time. So the student only needs to learn one new symbol at a time.

Restrict your word lists by syllable length. Find the easiest words to read first—the short ones. Add, remove or mix shorter and longer words.

Check stories

Check existing stories or compose sentences to see if they are suitable for each lesson. Words containing letters you haven't taught yet are highlighted with colors.

Create word search puzzles

SynPhony can produce word search puzzles using each lesson's vocabulary. The puzzle generator has many customizable options that give the author a lot of control over each puzzle.

SynPhony produces letter grids that use the letters of the writing system and spelling patterns of the language. These can be used for various tasks such as assessing letter recognition and phonemic awareness.

Web based

SynPhony uses standard web technology that runs in any modern browser. This makes Synphony cross-platform, and easy to share.
