Title: Sociolinguistic Survey Report of Boro (Shinasha)
Abstract:This report describes some aspects of the sociolinguistic landscape of Boro (Shinasha), and some differences between the highland and lowland dialects of this language. The main basis for this report is the comparison of word lists and of answers to sociolinguistic questionnaires which were obtained in Bulen (lowland) and Wombera (highland). The most striking observation is that not one of the people encountered during interviews was monolingual. The report contains word lists of the Wombera and Bulen varieties.
