SIL's dedication to language development past and present
Numerous translation training courses are offered through a variety of organizations and institutions around the world. These courses are for anyone interested in working as translators, reviewers, translation specialists or consultants.Informal training courses in translation are typically offered wherever SIL works in partnership with local translators. This training usually takes place through workshops, seminars and mentoring designed to meet the specific needs of translation teams and their communities. Other advanced training is available through the Nida School of Translation Studies in Misano, Italy, and the Doctor of Ministry in Bible Translation at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
