Kenneth Olson is the Associate International Linguistics Coordinator for SIL International, an adjunct associate professor at the University of North Dakota, and an adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of Applied Lingustics. He has taught at the Bangui Evangelical School of Theology, the University of Oregon, and SIL's European Training Programme in England and France. He has a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Chicago.
Olson's specialties are phonological theory, acoustic and articulatory phonetics, and historical linguistics. He has done field research on Mono, an Ubangian language spoken in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
