The use of Unicode
on this site
Data on these pages are stuctured by
the Unicode system. A well-populated Unicode typological font may be necessary for them
to appear correctly. The version of Times New Roman which ships with Windows Vista is adequate, but older Windows versions of Times New Roman are not. I recommend using Gentium,
Doulos SIL,
Charis,
or
TITUS Cyberbit basic.
All four can be downloaded without cost from the Internet.
Lacking them (or a similar font installed as the default on your browser), some phonetic or other special characters
(such as these: ƛ, ʔ or ŋ)
will not look right on your screen nor will they print correctly.
