SIL Electronic Book Reviews
How to Cite an SIL Electronic Book Review
Here is a suggested format for bibliographic citation of book reviews published in the SIL EBR series (parts in italics are replaced by specific information):
Author. Year. Review of Author/Editor Name, Book Title (Year of Publication). SIL Electronic Book ReviewsYYYY-NNN. Dallas: SIL International. Online. URL:URL (Access date).
For example,
Arsenault, Paul. 2004. Review of Edmund Gussmann, Phonology: Analysis and Theory (2002). SIL Electronic Book Reviews 2003-004. Dallas: SIL International. Online. URL: http://www.sil.org/silebr/2003/silebr2003-004 (1 June 2004).
The URL may also be enclosed by angled brackets, like this:
<http://www.sil.org/silebr/2003/silebr2003-004>
Book review pages on this site are equipped with a "Show citation form" link at the upper right of the page. Clicking on this link will display a popup window with the bibliographic citation of the book, formatted according to the above recommendation. Your web browser must have Javascript enabled for this feature to work.
This citation format is based on Li and Crane, Electronic styles: A handbook for citing electronic information (1996). For more information about citing on-line sources, see Columbia Guide to Online Style.
