SIL's dedication to language development past and present
After the previous two steps have been finished, the dictionary entries are virtually complete. This third stage is where standardization over the whole dictionary takes place. Entries are compared with an eye to consistency of treatment of such things as the citation form (e.g., singular for nouns, 3rd person singular present tense for verbs), the wording of the definitions, the ordering of senses, the relevancy of example sentences, and so on. Links between elements (cross-references, lexical relations, etc.) are created in this step as well.
