An analysis of the grammatical structures marking negation in two Zapotec variants: Santa Maria Quiegolani Zapotec and Mitla Zapotec. Specifically, a single NegP projection where all negative elements are in a Specifier-Head relationship and share only a single negative feature is argued to account for the Negative Concord reading.
