Pat Herbert describes the theoretical background of the REFLECT (Regenerated Freirean Literacy Through Empowering Community Techniques) method, and then outlines the method. Mary Hollman then describes the Anufo REFLECT pilot project. She discusses the positive aspects of the REFLECT approach in practice and some potential problems, and questions to be answered if the REFLECT method were to be adopted by GILLBT.
These two papers were presented together during a GILLBT Academic Seminar Week, then published as one article in two parts in the conference proceedings for 1996/97.
