Abyssinica SIL is an Ethiopic font, based on Ethiopic calligraphic traditions. It supports all Ethiopic characters which are in Unicode, including the Unicode 6.0 additions. As far as we know, all languages using the Ethiopic script are now fully represented in Unicode.

Adapt It helps translate texts between related languages (a process called adaptation). Using Adapt It, translators have been able to dramatically reduce the total time spent on their translation projects.

This font is still in development. It is not yet available for download.

Andika is a sans serif Unicode font designed especially for literacy use and the needs of beginning readers. The focus is on clear letterforms that will not be easily confused with one another.

Annapurna SIL is a Unicode-based font family with support for the many diverse languages that use Devanagari script.

Apparatus SIL was designed to provide most of the symbols needed to reproduce the textual apparatus found in major editions of Greek and Hebrew biblical texts.

This font is still in development.

Balsa

Balsa is an SD card-based software package for language workers where power for computer use is a major problem and there is little on-site IT support. Balsa provides software supporting translation, literacy and language documentation. It has a simple interface, and is readily upgraded by switching out the SD card.

Bibledit

Bibledit is a set of tools developed to aid in Bible editing and translation.  It is a fully featured and mature application for doing Bible translation on the desktop as well as on the web.

Features

Charis SIL is a Unicode serif font, similar to Bitstream Charter, one of the first fonts designed specifically for laser printers. It is proportionally-spaced and optomized for readability, and holds up well in less-than-ideal reproduction environments.

Dai Banna SIL is a Unicode font package for rendering the New Tai Lue (Xishuangbanna Dai) script. It includes a complete set of New Tai Lue consonants, vowels, tones, and digits, along with punctuation and other useful symbols.

Dictionary App Builder

Dictionary App Builder helps you to build customized dictionary apps for Android smartphones and tablets. You specify the lexicon data file to use, the app name, fonts, colors, the audio, illustrations and the icon.

Doulos SIL is a Unicode serif font similar in design to Times/Times New Roman. It contains a comprehensive inventory of glyphs needed for almost any Roman- or Cyrillic-based writing system, whether used for phonetic or orthographic needs.

Ezra SIL is a typeface fashioned after the square letter forms of the typography of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS), a beautiful Old Testament volume familiar to Biblical Hebrew scholars. The font supports the Hebrew and Latin-1 characters from Unicode 5.0.

FLEx enables linguists to be highly productive when building a lexicon and interlinearizing texts. Powerful bulk editing tools can save hours of work. FLEx allows control of which fields and entries show up in a dictionary publication. Through Pathway, beautiful dictionaries can be exported easily.  Send/Receive Project allows users to collaborate with colleagues located anywhere.

A comprehensive list of font development tools developed and used by SIL. These include a script for building composite glyphs in FontLab (FLGlyphBuilder), the command line version of TypeTuner, and other tools.

The FontUtils package provides a plethora of command line tools for manipulating TrueType fonts. These tools are essential to NRSI's font development processes. For Windows users, a binary installer is available.

Galatia SIL is a Unicode-encoded font family containing most of the symbols defined in Unicode 3.1 for Latin-1, Greek (excluding Coptic), Macintosh Character Set (US Roman), and 850WE/Latin-1. It has both regular and bold weights.

Gentium is a Unicode serif typeface family designed to enable the diverse ethnic groups around the world who use the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts to produce readable, high-quality publications. It supports a wide range of Latin- and Cyrillic-based alphabets.

Graphite is a package that can be used to create "smart fonts" capable of displaying writing systems with most complex behaviors.
