Most Deaf children around the world are born to hearing parents who often do not learn any sign language. In Papua New Guinea that situation is no different.
In the Oro province of Papua New Guinea in the foothills of Mt. Avejaha is a community in which a number of Deaf children have been born during the last 20 years.
